Fran & I got our first German Shepherd in 1958.
 We
just loved dogs!

We spent five years getting acquainted with the German Shepherd breed. We went to all-breed obedience classes, and then joined the German Shepherd Dog Club of Central Ohio.

In our early years, we had other breeds, but we seemed to favor large breeds.

Having had Boxers, Danes and Corgis and loved Dobes, but never owned one.

In those days, Fran worked long hours in sales managing furniture stores. He worked most of the time from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Sundays noon to 5 p.m.

Both of us have served on the board of directors of the German Shepherd Dog Club of America, but our main interest has and is breeding and showing the dogs, and Fran of course, judging.

We moved to Grove City, where we still reside in June of 1962, where we would have 2 acres and room to raise German Shepherds. The grounds here are flat, and all are usable, plus entirely fenced chain linked.

We were both born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, and Grove City is more or less a suburb.
Fran and I will be married 56 years this August 2002.

Fran &  Gr. Granddaughter above, and below, "Lance" with Grandchildren,
Christian and Gina

We have two children, a daughter and a son,
 seven (7) grandchildren, and now
16 great grandchildren, all of whom
we love dearly, and spend a lot of time with.

"Wimpy", was our wonderful little whippet
(as our housedog) we lost him at 15 1/2 years old.

Since Fran’s retirement, we have been able
to enjoy & continue to show and breed dogs, and enjoy it even more, as we are  doing everything together.
